CLEANING UP MY MESS - dinsdag 20 maart 2012

Beside cardesign I have another hobby that is to compose music on my computer. To be able to do that you need a good computer and composing software. When you want to be able to record your own singing you also need a microphone with a cable that can be connected to your computer. A very usefull instrument is a MIDI-keyboard, with this you will be able to directly play and record your music into the computer. In the last few years I have composed enough music to burn my own CD. After saving my music on a high definition I burned the music on a CD. The beauty of the printer that I have is that it's able to print on a CD, so after burning my music CD I desided to print the CD with my own design. The only special thing that I needed is the CD-tray where I can put the CD in and stick it into the printer. But then there was a problem... I can't find the CD-tray... damn... Well the only thing I can do is to surch for it. I started surching and looked everywhere I though I could have put it away. But this small plastic part didn't seem to be anywhere. Where can it be?!? While I was surching I desided to clean up everything that I don't need no more with the hope to find the CD-tray...


On my journey to find it I came along old drawings and projects that I've made the last decenium, some things really surprised me and a lot of them seemed to have disappeared from my memory. I run into many cardesigns, but also architectual designs of houses and cathedrals. The cathedrals where really a great thing, in that time I had great imagenation of what it could become... I was very much inspired by the work of Antonio Gaudi a Spanian Architect that designed the "La Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona. Although Antonio Gaudi had a Catholic background it did inspire me much, but the cathedral in my dream is not one for only one religion. In my dream it is a place where everyone is welcome to come and enjoy there moment of being there and share there love and light with everyone around them. This was a great dream at the time I was working on it... and still it makes me very enthusiast when I see those drawings.

As I earlier wrote I did also find old projects. Most projects are from my time at the CIBAP, an education to become grafic designer, interiour designer or painter. Other designs that I found where drawings of initials, sculptures, logo's, cardesign for the peugeot design contest that I have ones participated. It brings many good memories back. An other positive thing of all this is that I found some good ideas back that I didn't remember any more, this gives me new inspiration for future projects. I did realise some thing were not so good but other did work out quitte well.

When I look behind myself I still see many thing laying around that have to be stored, so I thing I'm going to end this blog so I can clean up my workspace further on. Oh yes... there's still something I didn't find... where could it be... that ..... CD-tray.

Ik hoop zooo dat je straks een stapeltje optilt en verrast word met de CDtray. Dan heb je terug waar je naar op zoek was en... heel veel mooi werk terug gezien van de afgelopen jaren. liefsxx

Wist je dat Gaudi mijn favoriete architect en kunstenaar is. Het mozaiek en de gebouwen in Park Guell spreken enorm tot de verbeelding. Echt prachtig, zelfs na drie keer een Gaudi tour heb ik nog niet al zijn werk gezien. ps. als je jouw CDtray niet meer kan vinden, laat even weten wat je precies zoekt, ik heb hier vast wel wat voor je liggen.
